ATWATER POTTERY
He had an architecture degree and a successful punk skater clothing line, X-Large, but Adam Silverman wanted more. In 2003, he founded Atwater Pottery in Los Angeles.
From a broad array of influences – old Japanese glazes, choreographer Merce Cunningham – he is making his mark with offbeat, exquisite pieces. interested in imperfections and the mark of the artist, Silverman brings a little street edge to a venerable craft.
